I have a Stocks & Shares Investment ISA in which I have invested £2,500!
I am able to follow this investment by looking at the current value posted by the bank! I get no other information other than current value! Where in Maxim Money should I record info on this account?
Currently it is in Investments, and the only way I can see to track changes is by using “Correct Balance”!
Yes, I can see the current value, but wonder if this is the right way to do it? It would be good to see how much the investment has increased (or decreased) in value (as a %age) since the last entry (and possibly since first investing)!
Investment Question!

Re: Investment Question!
Yes, I would say that is the best way to track investments where you just have the value. I currently do that for some of my investments. I'll be enhancing the different account types as we go, and so Investment accounts will get more useful features in the future.
You should be able to track the performance by creating a Transaction Comparison report. If you set Rows to Accounts, then in Filter 1 set your date range to e.g. 1/1/2000 to Today minus 1 Year, and filter on your ISA account. In Filter 2, set the date range to 1/1/2000 to Today.
It should then display the balance in that account from 1 year ago, and today, giving you the nominal and percentage differences between the two.
Also makes me think a Balance Aggregation report would be useful, as it would strictly look at balances rather than summing transactions, and you could break this down by any arbitrary time period. Nonetheless, I just created this report in my account and it makes for some interesting reading!

Hi Campbell
There is no doubt that Maxim Reports are very powerful (in the right hands!)
However I am having a little trouble in compiling this report!
I have column 1 (Payee) set to all payees, whilst I have data showing from manually entered transactions, there is no information on payment transfer payees (from another account). Is this a bug, or error on my part?
I have tried setting this in Category, but when I do this the report becomes empty! Remove Category and I get report with no transfer payees!
NOTE: to myself - must spend more time on compiling reports!

Re: Investment Question!
I'm not quite sure how you have that configured to have column 1 set to Payee.
I was proposing creating a report with:
Settings
Type: [Comparison of] [Transactions]
Tabs: None
Rows: Accounts
Cells: Value
Group by: None
Filter 1
Date: From 1/1/2000 to Today minus 1 Year
Filter 2
Date: From 1/1/2000 to Today
This will actually then give you a comparison of all your accounts, with change in percent from a year ago to today. You can add additional filters to restrict to account or account type.

Re: Investment Question!
This is interesting me too.
I am having lots of trouble with reports too.
I am used to Microsoft Money and they work much easier.
