Tracking energy usage
I started tracking my energy usage properly the other day. I have to say, I'm really pleased with the results, it certainly makes it very clear at a glance what my usage is, and makes it obvious whether I'm using more or less than usual, and whether I'm paying more or less than I should be (looks like I could reduce my direct debit a little each month
)
I thought I would add a screenshot of it here, in case anyone finds it useful or inspirational.

Re: Tracking energy usage
I've tracked my energy usage for about 15 years in a spreadsheet because I like to look at actual usage in addition to spending, the latter of which has gone crazy (at least in the central US) in the past 5-6 years because of a lot of rate increases, so if I only look at spending it makes it look like I'm using a lot more energy recently when I'm really not.
Having said that, I like the charting capabilities and will give them a try once I start loading some data into the trial. I was an idiot and installed the program right before I'm going to be away from my PC for a couple of weeks, but I should be able to learn what I need when I get back before the trial ends!
