New Release - v1.2.1.0

As at 11/10/24, the latest version of More Money is v1.2.1.0 and can be downloaded from here.

This version has the following changes:

Individual buttons for adding transactions
I have removed the Add Transaction button on Accounts, and added four separate ones, for Deposit, Payment, Transfer In and Transfer Out. This just reduces user-input by a click when you need to change the transaction type.

Automatic Downloads
More Money can now automatically download pricing information, rather than you having to click on the download button. This is completely optional, and can be set within Settings > Pricing:

Downloads will only occur whilst you are using the application, i.e. if the application is left open unattended, downloading will suspend.

Improved Investment Support
More Money now has rudimentary support for Bond and Mutual Fund trades. Specifying these asset types in the Edit Security form will allow for different investment activities.

Additional Investment Activities
More Money now allows the following additional investment activities: Interest, Long Term Capital Gains Distribution, Mid Term Capital Gains Distribution, Other Income, Reinvest Interest, Short Term Capital Gains Distribution and Other Expense.

Improved QIF import
More Money can now import the the following additional activity types: CGLong, CGLongX, CGMedium, CGMediumX, CGShort, CGShortX, IntInc, IntIncX, MiscExp, MiscExpX, MiscInc, MiscIncX, ReinvInt, XIn, and XOut

Default price source per symbol
Each individual priceable asset can now individually specify its preferred price source. In the Prices & FX Rates grid, if you right-click on a symbol, you can select which price source that asset should use.

Anonymiser feature
It is now possible to anonymise your data. This is useful if you want to remove personal information, in case you wanted to send your file to support, or post screenshots. To access this, go to About > Anonymise. This will bring up the following form, where you can select which data you want to anonymise:

Bug Fixes

• Fixed issue importing QIF transactions containing splits
• Selecting an amount field should highlight in blue
• Other minor bugs

I've updated this with a minor patch, v1.2.1.1, which can be downloaded from here.

This has the following changes:

Minor enhancements:

• Holding Accounts can now be deleted from within Portfolios
• Categories shows as disabled if no transactions exist on them

Bug fixes:

• Transaction Details shows correct transfer account, when to a closed or internal portfolio account
• Fixed issue importing multiple investment transactions on same date
• Creating scheduled transaction from transaction when scheduled window closed no longer errors

This has the following changes:

Minor enhancements:

• Copy (Ctrl-C) and Paste (Ctrl-V) now work in numeric textboxes.
• Hide Closed Accounts option in Portfolios now persists on file restore
• Securities can now be edited from Prices grid

Bug fixes:

• Improved logic around Investment Transaction form field updates
• Re-adding deleted investment no longer errors
• Fixed error deleting holdings
• Improved labelling on X-axis on time charts
