Is it normal that I cannot react in reply in announcements????
I had my Money program on my D partition. I have now moved it to C but would prefer to keep it on D.
I see no possibility to change the location in the program.

Yes, I changed the permissions, to stop discussions cluttering up the release notes.
You can install the application in whichever folder you want. Is there a reason you can't keep it on D?

Re: Question about build v1.5.3.0
So I can move it back from C to D. And the update will run even when it is there????
Why I do that:
I make monthly images of my C partition and return to an older image when I run into problems.
As your program still changes a lot I would then return to an old build and this might give problems.
At this moment I have issues with my new HP laptop. The problems are caused by an HP update. I had to return to an image from before that update twice already and it still is not solved

Re: Question about build v1.5.3.0
Yes, you can run it from wherever you like. There's no installer currently, which would normally add it to C:\Program Files. You can manually put it there if you wish, but you don't have to, especially with it still being under development. The updater will request elevated permissions if it needs it (the Program Folders is a restricted folder), but it won't need to do that if you install in a custom folder.
I may well add an installer later, but this would only really be to make the initial set-up easier, installing a shortcut icon and associating files (*.mmy) etc.

Re: Question about build v1.5.3.0
Yes there is an installer now.
I saw your announcement of a new build in the forum.
You forgot to mention it is build 1.5.3.1
BUT: I did not install it. Started MM (build 1.5.3.0) and it asked if it could install a new build and then asked for elevated permission
As I had moved the program to C the update worked
So I do not understand:
You say in build 1.5.3.0 there is an updater.
You then answer here there is no updater.
But there was an updater and it updated to 1.5.3.1 in which you say the updater is installed.
So - it works for program in C but I doubt that it will work when I move program to D.
Have no time to test that now but will later.

Re: Question about build v1.5.3.0
It now has an updater built in, so any time a new version becomes available it can automatically update itself.
An installer is a setup.exe program that you run the very first time you download it, that ask you questions about where you want to install to etc, and it does things like adds nice shortcuts for you and associates file extensions with the program. I haven't made this yet, but may do at some point.
