As at 22/01/25, the latest version of More Money is v1.4.2.0, and can be downloaded from here.

This update is mostly focused on Investment Portfolios. These are:

Investment Transaction summaries
When multi-selecting investment transactions in the investment transactions view, the summary in the bottom-left corner of the main window will now show a clear breakdown of the quantity, cost, value, realised and unrealised gain, and realised income:

This makes it much easier to see how the summary information is calculated, as well as giving additional information about realised gain.

Cost, Value and Gain columns
New columns have been added to this view, showing the value of dividends, and any associated cost/gain.

Gain Calculation
You can now select how the Gain value in the portfolio summary is calculated. There is a new tab in Settings:

The default (Include all realised income) will work the same as MS Money, adding all dividends into the Gain.
The new option (Only include income from held assets) will only add the dividend received to the Gain figure if it was received from shares currently held.

Distribution Method
On Sell transactions, you can now right-click and specify which distribution method you want:

You can currently choose between FIFO (this is the most common distribution method), and LIFO. I'll add the other methods when demand requires.

The distribution method affects which held shares are being sold, and therefore how much gain is realised. This can affect (in some countries) how much tax is due, as the realised gain will be higher or lower, depending which physical shares were sold.

Selected Window
The main toolbar changes, depending which window is active. It wasn't obvious before which window this was, so now the titlebar of the active window is a different colour from the rest.

Investment transaction buttons
Relevant transaction buttons are now displayed (e.g. Buy, Sell) when viewing investment transactions, rather than the cash transaction buttons

Bug Fixes
  • Changing security on an Investment Transaction removes transaction from previous security transactions.
  • Further corrections to field entry on Investment Transaction form
  • Categories now populate correctly in transaction filters
  • If account is deleted, it is now removed from transaction filters
  • Adding/removing categories updates transaction filters
  • Tabbing into category dropdown and typing now works correctly
  • Dateline now always in correct position in transactions view
  • Changing category on transfer now updates both sides

Your numbers were absolutely correct but it was not clear how you got them.
It is clear now.

How do I get the "settings"???????

Thank you.

I discovered you can change the Font size here: great.

Also : Default number of days for scheduled transactions. Sadly you cannot change this to zero.
I work a lot with scheduled transactions but I do not like to have them deducted or added from my bank balance.
Also: Today 24/1 I changed the number to 1 but still an income due on the 28th was added to the bank balance.

And : I changed some settings : Font size - default number of days and Gain calculation.
I did nothing else and closed MM. I was not asked to keep changes.
Changes of Font and default number of days were saved but not changes in Portefolio.

And : I tried saving the file - instead of just closing it - the change in Portefolio's was not saved.

Good point, I'll get this fixed.

I'm not sure how that would happen unless it was processed manually? Scheduled transactions are processed automatically when you either load your data file, or the date changes. It will only add transactions to your register if the next entry date is <= the current date adjusted by the days in advance setting, so in your case if the date was <= 25/1. Manually processed scheduled transactions ignore this setting.

Oops, I forgot to save this setting in the data file. I'll get this fixed too.

I do not think this was manually processed.
At the moment I see:
30/12/2024 Rent 1 Scheduled
2/1/2025 Rent 2 Scheduled
6/1/2025 Rent 3 scheduled
6/1/2025 bankcosts scheduled
28/1/2024 Rent 1 scheduled

All greyed out. So Rent 1 due 28/1 was certainly not manually processed I would think.

Looking at this account I see that all these deposits/costs are included in the account balance.

So changing the default number of days to 0 will not solve my problem.
I do not want any scheduled cost or income to be included in my balance as long as I have not booked them.
I hope you will be able to implement that because it is terribly important for my main account where I have a huge number of scheduled transactions that very often are not paid/received at the exact date

Is it just a case of the balance you see for the account in your accounts list being the future balance rather than the current balance? I'm planning on making this an option in an up-coming release, but I can prioritise this.

I've created a new update, v1.4.2.1 (usual link), with the following fixes:
  • Data file is marked as changed when settings are modified
  • Fixed an unhandled object reference error changing date ranges
  • Allow 0 days for default days for scheduled transaction entry
  • Gain Calculation method now saved in data file
  • Fixed an unhandled object reference error on font change

Yes that is it.
Today I got a new problem. I have this account with 4 scheduled transctions that I described in previous post. Transactions were scehduled for dates in the past.
Now I am unable to change these in a manual transaction.
This did work in the past.
How do I change a scheduled transaction to manual????

What do you mean? It doesn't let you modify the date of the transaction in your register?
How do I change a scheduled transaction to manual????
Right-click on the transaction and select Set Status > Manual
