QIF Import - Unknown Code

Post by Campbell »

Looks like someone was trying to import a QIF file, and getting an error "Unknown Code: 2" and "Unknown Code: 3".

Could whoever that was please send me a sample file so I can see what the problem is, and add support for the missing codes?

Your request demands the question - how do you know about this? It rather suggests that some error is reported back, albeit anonymously.

Indeed. This was a feature added in v1.3.0.0 (see Custom Error dialog).

The error message, stack trace, software version, and any feedback message entered by the user is uploaded to the server. If you would prefer the error is not uploaded, you can click on the [X] rather than the [OK] button, but to be honest, these are really useful for me to help stabilise the product. No personal information is uploaded.

I'll be adding an entry to the FAQ in the next help update which clarifies this.

It occurred to me, that if you have any trust issues, most firewall software allows you to put an explicit block on single applications, so you could prevent More Money from making any external calls. Obviously, if you were to do this then I would really appreciate any errors to be manually logged here so I can still fix them. :)
