Maxim Money Mobile

I thought you might all like to know that I've been working on a mobile companion app for Maxim Money. It will be able to run on iOS and Android, and will allow you to view all your accounts and portfolios, and view transactions within those accounts. You will be able to add, edit and delete transactions directly on the phone. Portfolios will be kept up-to-date with prices, independent from the desktop. And what's more, it will be completely free (although I will probably nudge up the pricing for the Plus and Pro licences a little, to reflect it).
Data is encrypted and synchronised via your choice of personal cloud service (currently Dropbox, Google Drive and WebDAV), so the data stays on your own service and owned by you.
The same themes are available as on the desktop (Light, Dark and MS Money).
Simple searching by payee can be carried on on the phone.

This is an actual screenshot from my phone, using data from the sample mny file.

Fantastic! I'd thought of adding a post about a mobile app in the suggestions forum but I thought you'd already have your hands full!
Would it be possible to support Proton Drive for this?

I'll see how easy (or otherwise) it would be to include Proton Drive. It's not one I've heard of before.

So, unfortunately it's not possible to connect to Proton Drive currently, as it doesn't allow other apps (i.e. Maxim Money Mobile) to sign into your account on your behalf. The desktop would be able to write to the drive, but the phone wouldn't be able to access it.
It looks like their SDK is evolving so this might be possible soon. I will make a note to check back on this in the future.

Yay! An app!!!
But I feel like I'm missing something, or I've done something wrong. I got everything to my phone (yay) via Dropbox, and entered a transaction on my phone. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get that transaction to reflect on my desktop? I tried syncing in both places, but it's still only on my phone.

The phone should write back to the sync (Dropbox) folder pretty much straightaway, but the desktop will only sync after you open or save the data file. I'll have a look at improving this. In the meantime, if you save your desktop file, then click Sync on the desktop, it should hopefully pull it in. Let me know if that doesn't happen.
