I have just uploaded a new release of Maxim Money, v1.10.0.0. The big news in this release is native support for Microsoft Money files!

The full list of changes are:

New File Wizard
When creating a new data file, or launching for the first time, a wizard will now take you step-by-step through the process of setting up. Hopefully this will make the application a little more user-friendly when launching it for the first time.


Native support for Microsoft Money .mny files
This has been a long time wish for Maxim Money. But now, you can load Microsoft Money .mny files directly into Maxim Money. You can either select File > Open File, or use the Import menu to select your file. This will then load all accounts, transactions, payees, categories, splits, investments, prices and scheduled transactions, linking all transfers from one account to another. I honestly think this will be one of the most significant enhancements to date, as it will allow people to evaluate the software using their own data with the minimum of effort.

Default Account Holder and Tax Year start date
You can now assign the default account holder. This user will be used as the default whenever creating any new account.

You can also now configure the start of your tax year.

Minor Enhancements

• Basic support for Employee Stock Options (support for Grant, Vest, Exercise and Expire transactions). Only imported transactions are supported currently, but I will add the UI for this soon.

Bug Fixes

• Open Banking connected accounts no longer added multiple times in account settings
• Fixed Collection Modified error iterating transactions
• Fixed bug where transaction not created in other account when changing the account of a transfer transaction
• Correction on QIF import where value or amount is blank
• Removed erroneous entries in Chart Selection dropdown
• Fixed issue where blank scheduled transaction window could open

I've just pushed an update, v1.10.0.1 with the following fixes:

Minor Enhancements

• Portfolios now default to opening tabbed with other open portfolios

Bug Fixes

• Prevented duplicate key in account mappings
• Mny import - prevented Interest transactions from affecting holdings
• Mny import - correction to stock split update of previous holdings
• Mny import - additional object checking adding securities

I've just pushed another minor update, v1.10.0.2, with the following changes:
