Whilst going back over some Maxim Money account entries I find that some Payee details that I entered have now been changed to Payee#191 (for instance!)

These Payee numbers obviously refer to some plain text payee info somewhere! None of these Payee numbers are shown in my list of Payees!

What have I done wrong?

I'm sorry about that. It looks like those transactions have lost their payee. The number comes from the key of the payee, but the payee associated with that key appears to be missing. I can only assume that has come about during a merge of payees, where one payee gets deleted and merged into the other.

I will add this to the integrity check, and add some additional checks to see if I can work out how this is happening.

If I go to my list of Payees I only see Payee #308 and Payee #580!

Where might the others be?

If I know the actual Payees can I edit the Payees and enter the correct information?

The payees don't exist. I think the #308 and #580 entries will have been recreated at some point, probably if the transaction with the missing payee was edited.

You should be able to just reassign a payee in the transactions. Or if you have a lot of them, you can bulk-assign them from the Search window.

In the next release, if it detects missing payees it will re-create these, so you can just manually edit them.

Found the correct payees for my Payee numbers and have done as you suggest.
