In the latest update you now can search for much more than payees. Well done Campbell!!
I tested the search for amount and found amounts not showing.
The reason was that I searched for amount 24,00 and I only got income 24,00. I should have searched for -24,00.
Campbell thinks it would be confusing if he shows both income and expense.
However, when you search for -24,00 the numbers show in red so there is a distinction.
What do the others think?
I also find the search is hidden too far (advanced tab) - Campbell suggested adding some searches to the main search page.
I think that is great.
For me amount should be added.

Re: Question about search for amount in latest update
I think there are pros and cons of the Amount filter being absolute or not.
Pros:
Pros:
- It's slightly easier to think about amounts as positives. And in some respects, any transaction is for a positive amount, it's just a case of whether it's coming in or going out.
- It becomes harder to distinguish positive and negative amounts. E.g. if I want to list all payments of more than 1000 I could currently add a filter Amount < -1000. If the search was absolute I would need to have Amount > 1000 and then a separate filter for Type = Payment.
