Re: MS Money File Conversion
Is that definitely v1.10.0.5? It should be mapping those values onto the correct values.
Re: MS Money File Conversion
It's 11.0
Looking at the .exe, the full version is 11.0.0.716 or 11.00.0716 depending!

Re: MS Money File Conversion
Thanks, looks like Money 2003 still has the old activity mappings. I'll get that fixed for the next update.

Hi Campbell,
Would definitely like to try this out.
Currently running version 1.8.0.1 - how can I update the software ?
Can't find any option to upgrade and nothing appears in the app to prompt me that a newer version is available.

Hi Howard.
If you ensure the Check for new version on startup in Settings is checked, it should notify you of a new version next time you launch the application, and update automatically:
If that doesn't work, you can simply download the latest version from the website, extract and replace your existing files.

Re: MS Money File Conversion
Thanks for that. I've downloaded the new version and successfully converted my MS Money file.
Now all I've got to do is compare new to old for errors.
Watch this space as I've got over 20 years worth of data !

Re: MS Money File Conversion
Some people are reporting a few additional transactions in some accounts. I haven't worked out where these are coming from, but I suspect it has something to do with scheduled or cancelled transaction data that Microsoft store in the main transactions table that I just need to filter off. Let me know how you get on.
Re: MS Money File Conversion
Hi Campbell,
As far as I can see the account totals balance exactly with MS Money.
Up to now the only problem I've come across concerns the Income & Expense Report - there doesn't seem to
be a dropdown list of Categories for selection, just doesn't seem to work.
The report (for tax year 2025/26) balances back to MS Money except for any dividend payments which don't seem
to show up at all despite selecting the relevant accounts. Maybe something to do with Dividends not having a Category
which is different from MS Money. Would be great if a Category was allowed for each Dividend entry to differentiate
between myself / wife's income. MS Money just allows a single category for ALL investment accounts.
Great work getting it fully converted !
