Yes you have to click a button to start a transaction. That is not the problem. But once you have entered the transaction and it is entered in the account you should be on that last line. This is not the case in MM.
I have made some (hopefully) improvements in v1.12.0.0. So if you are manually entering transactions and have the transactions register selected, pressing the Enter key will automatically create a new transaction and take you to the edit form. You can type in your details, tabbing between the fields, then press Enter again to submit the transaction. The focus will then be back to the register, where you can add another new transaction by pressing Enter again. This allows you to enter multiple transactions without having to resort to using the mouse. Please let me know if this workflow works better for you.
Im finding this works for one transaction only:
Steps:
Open account view
Click on the account
Press enter
Input transaction details
Enter to finalize transaction
If I presss enter again (to start another another transaction) nothing happens (I have to click back on the account first for this to work)

I don't seem able to reproduce that. When you press enter to commit the transaction changes, where does the focus go? I.e. if you press the cursor keys, does anything happen/move?
I normally have 2 accounts open in the main window

After the first tran is entered, if i press enter or up down arrows nothing happens on any account window
the cursor does seem to be moving however in the new transaction memo feild so maybe focus remains in the new tran
Do you have "Apply changes in Transaction form immediately" set? If so, pressing Enter in the transaction form doesn't "save" the transaction, because it is already saved. In this mode, it doesn't send the focus back to the transaction register.
Ok. Try unchecking that option, and see. You should then get the tick and cross buttons in the transaction form. Enter effectively clicks the tick button.
