New releases are not proposed

I am still on build 1.8.04.
In the past when there was a new build and I opened Maxim Money I was always warned about New Build.
I have opened Maxim Money the last 3 days without any warning.
Is it because 1.9 was a major build????

Sorry I did not read: the moment if you have your 'check for new version' set to Release Candidate).
I tend not to read as long as I do not have the new build.
Changed this now


But - since a few updates I get an error message :

That is because MM is still running. I ignore it and the build is installed anyway

Yes, there are now 2 levels of upgrades, where you can opt to download the very latest version as it becomes available, or wait a little longer until any wrinkles with that release have been ironed out. As you discovered, setting the dropdown to Release Candidate allows you to upgrade to the very latest version. Once I am satisfied that there are no serious issues with the new release, I will let this download on the Stable version setting.

Regarding the upgrade, if it attempts to update the files, but those files are in use, it cannot overwrite them. Selecting Cancel (Annuleren?) should result in the upgrade being aborted and the original files being reinstated.
