Entry ordering in account list

Post by Neill »

One thing I have noticed over the years using both MS Money and Maxim is that in your accounts when for example you have a pay check coming in on say the 13th of the month and you also plan to pay several bills same day, I often see the ordering of these entries on the day seems random

By that I mean the bills may show to be going out the account first on the 13th before the pay comes into the account (in reality I make the bill payments only after the pay has landed

Would be nice to have some ablity to sort the order of the entries within the day if that could be done?
Would prevent the account looking like it goes negative on the day when in reality it would not

Hope this image gives a view of the problem
Entries for "Work Salary" ideally would be able to be placed/ordered first on the day (13th)

Hi Neill, you can do this already, with the right-click > Move Transaction Up/Down option. You can also use Ctrl up/down Arrow key as a shortcut.

I’m surprised other applications don’t have this feature, I use it all the time. :D

Works just as described, nice

I had seen that option but thought it moved it to a day before/after so had not explored it
