Scheduled transaction suggestions

Post by Neill »

Hi

Some suggestions around Scheduled transactions.....

1 - it would be nice to be able to set an end date and/or number of payments left so they stop repeating after they expire

2 - it would be helpfull for recurring transactions to be able to auto adjust payment due date if it lands on a weekend (non working day) to fall either on the work day before or workday after the due date

3 - for bills like council tax which are due for only 10 months in 12, some option to set repeats to skip (i.e. skip payments due for February and March) but all others are set

Thanks

for some reason I have an irrelevant image embedded which I cant remove from the post!

Thanks for the suggestions. I will improve Scheduled Transactions soon, so will take your suggestions into account.

On point 2, it currently does this automatically, rolling forward to the next business day, but it would be good to optionalise this to roll forward, roll back, or not roll at all. At some point I want to bring in banking holidays as static data, and these would then also be taken into account.

filter by account, and payment frequency (weekly/monthly/annual) on the main page of scheduled transacrions would be nice also

Unrelated request:
in accounts it would be nice to have a cut and copy (to chosen acount) option for transactions like in old MS money

Thanks for the suggestions, I've added them to my list.

The moving of transactions was already on there, so I've bumped up the priority of it. :)

Can I ask something about the cut and copy:
I have always used Microsoft Money.
Sometimes I booked something in a wrong account.
That was easily corrected by right clicking on the transaction and opt for move to account.

Would this copy paste be for this?

Exactly, you simply cut it from one account and paste into the other. You can now even just drag and drop the transaction from one account to the other if you have them both open.

Further to my query about transactions on 30 or 31st of each month!

This is how another financial package lists the options.
