I make an overview of my portefolio once a month.
To compare with the bank statements I set the rates manually to those the bank uses.
I have already done this a month ago without issues.
This is new.
Another thing:
My banks and your program enter the prices o equities in the original currency.
To change to euro you have to multiply with rate.
For US$ this rate is 0.96535.
Your rate however is 1.035894 that is 1/0.96535
Adding rates manually creates a double entry

Re: Adding rates manually creates a double entry
I'm not sure what your first point is, sorry?
Re the second, the FX rate between Euros and USD is quoted in the market as EUR/USD rather than USD/EUR, so this is 1.03 not 0.97. This convention is really important as the currencies get close to parity, as there could be ambiguity if you don't use the correct standard.
More Money uses the Priority field on currencies to establish the way exchange rates are interpreted. You could possibly change the order of USD and EUR in this table, but I wouldn't recommend it as it may affect imports, and would affect other currencies with priorities between the two (i.e. GBP, AUD and NZD)
One thing you can do, if you are given an inverted rate, is to enter the rate you have, then click on the invert rate button:

Sorry I forgot part of my text:

I have already done this a month ago without issues.
Now when I click "add rate" 2 lines appear:
When you enter the number both lines are filled.
When you then delete one line both lines dissapear.
When ou restart the program there is only one line.
This is new.
As for the inverted rates - no problem - I will calculate with excell.

Re: Adding rates manually creates a double entry
Ah, ok, thanks. I'll get the doubling-up fixed in the next release.
I'll add an invert button to the Update FX Rate form from portfolios, but I guess that won't really help you as the Prices & FX Rates grid doesn't have a form, only grid entry. I'll have a think about this.

Re: Adding rates manually creates a double entry
As said - it is no big problem to invert the rates.
