Some issues with the new version:
- MM warns me there is an update and I download it.
- Normally new versions overwrite old but you will probably change that later. No hurry.
- I have the version downloads in Map D:/Downloads/More Money on my D partition. I then copy the exe file to my Desktop so I can open the program from there. So I have to copy the exe for the new version to my desktop. Again - no problem.

The data file is located in D:\Documents\MoreMoney
How did I get it there??? (Sorry short memory)
Usually in a program you can select the location of the data file. I do not see that option in settings.
I read in new release :
MMY files
Data files can now be saved as MMY files, rather than MMY.XML. This compresses the files and gives greater privacy. I will be adding full encryption and passwords in a future release.
BUT : My file is still : MoreMoney.mmy.xml
So has the new file been put somewhere else????

Yeah, normally there's a small application that will do the updating. I haven't done that yet as I'm keeping things as basic as possible at the moment. Once I release fully I will get that working.

More Money still supports backwards compatibility with the XML files, as it will be a useful tool for diagnosing issues saving data. But if you do Save As... and save with a .mmy extension, it will use the new format. Any new files should default to the new extension.
