Re: Magic money tree?

Just wondering whether the tweak should be for the import process to reject the writing to the list of Scheduled Transactions any items which have a Due Date earlier than the date the import is occurring. This would have caught my 8 spurious items.

Re: Magic money tree?

Although containing personal and private data I guess I can send you (privately) a copy of the screengrab showing the 8 items erroneously appearing in my Scheduled Transactions, but surely these are entirely personal to my particular dataset. I wonder therefore how this would assist in the tweaking ...

Re: Magic money tree?

I’ve think that I have solved the mystery. It is all down to entries in Static Data, Scheduled Transactions.

Looking at the MS Money file which was imported into Maxim Money, it has no Bills and Deposits showing that are outstanding, i.e, all instances have been recorded.

However, turning to ...

Re: Import of FT.com csv. data files

I'll look forward to it.

Having to jump through the particular hoops to upload prices in bulk using MS Money Quotes is a necessary evil, but it sure beats manual input. If you are able to streamline the process that would be so much better.

Magic money tree?

Continuing my testing I imported a .mny file containing inter alia a current account with a balance of £76,384.64 - it's large having some 10,500 entries. I compared all the open accounts and the Maxim balances agreed with Money apart from a 2p discrepancy arising from 2 portfolio accounts (see my ...

Re: Import of FT.com csv. data files

I import prices into MS Money using a piece of software called MS Money Quotes, written by a chap called Dan Gaier, an ex-Microsoft software developer involved in MS Money. - https://gaiersoftware.com/Money. $9.99 well spent!

Having created a Wishlist at FT.com of the securities which I own the ...

Re: Import of FT.com csv. data files

The fields in the .csv FT datafile are:

Name, Symbol, Last Price, Last Price_Currency, Today's price Change - %, Volume, Chart, 1-Year Trailing Total Return.

I have sent you a sample populated file.

Re: Option to display only current securities

Many thanks. Easy when you know how!

I had expected to find the switch in Settings > Portfolios.

Import of FT.com csv. data files

Prices which have been downloaded from FT.com when processed by MS MoneyQuotes from Gaier Software upload effortlessly into MS Money. Can something similar be incorporated into Maxim Money - going back to inputting prices manually would be a real chore.
